Brad Marchand had a press conference after Thursday morning's practice, the practice was optional, but Marchand participated anyways.
The Bruins' offence has struggled without their top goal scorer, David Pastrnak, especially the powerplay, which hasn't converted on its last 27 opportunities. The man advantage is clearly missing Pastrnak's one-timer and distinctive scoring ability.
Marchand was asked what in Pastrnak's game the powerplay was missing:
"The big thing is that I think with him, he's a big threat all the time, and teams focus on him and open up other areas where now they're kind of sitting on and burying a lot more and collapsing in front."
Marchand himself has just two assists in his last eight games. The same eight games that the Bruins powerplay hasn't scored in.
Listen to the rest of what Marchand had to say this afternoon.
