David Pastrnak sat down with Boston Bruins digital reporter Eric Russo prior to the team travelling to Raleigh for game five against the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Bruins were down two games to nothing coming back home to TD Garden in Boston, with basically everyone calling for a sweep by the Hurricanes already. The boys blocked out all the noise and played two of their best games of the season and came away with two big wins in games three and four at home. None bigger than game four when the club was without its two top defensemen in Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm.
Pastrnak was asked what the biggest difference was between the last two games and the first two:
"Home-ice advantage, fans were awesome. Overall, we started playing a little better, playing a full 60, and we stuck with it. For example, yesterday, we didn't have a great start, but we stayed with it in both games, and we put ourselves back in the series."
The series is obviously a best-of-three now with two of the games in Raleigh, North Carolina. So the Boston Bruins will have to figure how to win on the road to steal this series from the Hurricanes.
