David Pastrnak contributed in his first game back with one goal and one assist, and with the two points, he reached 500 career NHL points.
Pastrnak opened the scoring when Charlie McAvoy found him wide open for a back door one-timer for his 39th goal of the season. He recorded his second point of the game (500th NHL point) on the secondary assist on Taylor Hall's breakaway goal that made it 2-0.
Pastrnak was asked about the feeling of getting 500 points:
"Obviously, it's nice, if you told me as a kid that, I wouldn't believe it. So, obviously, I'm very humble about it and happy, you know, something more you look back to and enjoy with your family and friends. So, it's nice, but at the same time, there's other goals I have in my mind."
He also discussed shaking off the rust from being away with injury, Lindholm's impressive return and the powerplay's struggles. Listen to what else he had to say here:
