The Boston Bruins travelled to Montreal Sunday evening to face the Canadiens for the final time this season. The Bruins were victorious in a 5-3 result, on an emotional night where Guy Lafleur's life and NHL career were honoured.
Jeremy Swayman collected his 23rd win of the season, stopping 23 of the 26 shots he faced. He has now won three of his last five games. The young net-minder commented on the touching tribute prior to the game:
"It was a pretty incredible scene; it goes to show what the fan base is like here and how supportive they are for incredible hockey players in our game. It was really cool to be a part of that, and all respect to him and the Canadiens organization for putting on such an incredible honour for him."
Swayman also commented on what it's like to play alongside captain Patrice Bergeron and what it meant to see him reach a Bruins milestone by scoring two goals in the game.
