Head coach of the Boston Bruins, Bruce Cassidy, announced yesterday that he would be switching up the top-two defensive pairings for game two against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm have been a steady pairing since Lindholm was acquired at the March 21st NHL Trade Deadline from the Anaheim Ducks. However, McAvoy also has experience and great success with teammate Matthew Grzelcyk, with who he will be paired with for game two.

McAvoy spoke to the media about who he's most comfortable playing with:

"They're [Grzelcyk and Lindholm] just different players. I think there's a familiarity with both guys now. I feel comfortable with anyone ... whoever my partner is; we're going to make plays together ... They're hard to compare the two, but whoever I'm playing with, I know I just need to show up and do my job."

Charlie also spoke about the Bruins' struggling powerplay, which went 0 for 3 in game one:

"I think with every team comes a different challenge when it comes to special teams ... They [Carolina] are really stubborn at the blueline, and they do a good job there. It's something we worked on yesterday, and we watched some film on ways we can get into the zone, so that's going to be the objective tonight."

The Carolina Hurricanes had the number one penalty kill in the NHL this season at 88%, and they definitely showed why in game one against the Bruins.
