The Providence Bruins are getting some extra help for their playoff matchup against the Bridgeport Islanders.

Brett Harrison, drafted in the third round (85th overall) by the Boston Bruins in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, will be joining Boston's affiliate after the conclusion of his Ontario Hockey League (OHL) season.

In 65 games with the Oshawa Generals, Harrison had 27 goals and 34 assists for a total of 61 points. He amassed 48 goals and 50 assists for 98 points in a total of 123 games over two seasons. The Generals' season recently ended with a 4-2 series loss to the Sudbury Wolves, while Harrison put up 3 goals and 4 assists in the series.

It's reported that Harrison will play in Providence's game two against Bridgeport tonight:

This is Brett Harrison's scouting report from Elite Prospects:

"He hunts pockets of space and loves to trail behind the play to receive drop passes and fire from the top of the circle. He can win most battles through his reach and stature."

"He is physical and active around the slot, engaging with defenders to win positioning for loose pucks."

And from Dobber Prospects:

"Harrison finds a way onto the scoresheet consistently, even when he's not having his best night. His ability to adapt to his teammates is valuable, and he provides solid two-way play while possessing a good shot."

Brett Harrison is a left-shot centreman who stands at 6'2'' and weighs 188 lbs.

His PNHLe, or " value that projects a prospect's point potential at the NHL level," is currently at a second-line centre value:

Harrison could end up being an excellent bargain for a third-round pick if he continues on his current projection.
