The Boston Bruins have had their fair share of legends and playoff heroes over the years of their storied franchise.

One guy who had some big games in the postseason was forward Marc Savard. Who made this assumption for the Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes game two, which will be going down Wednesday night:

It's quite the bold take, but the kind of attitude that the Bruins need right now if they do want to come out on top right now.

Savard is no stranger to Boston Bruins' playoff hockey. He spent the last five seasons of his 13-year career with the B's, playing in 25 postseason games. He collected 8 goals and 14 assists for a total of 22 points in those games.

None more significant than this overtime goal he scored against the Philadelphia Flyers back in 2010:

The story behind the goal was the most inspirational part of it, though. Savard was playing his first game back after missing over seven weeks because of a concussion.

However, post-concussion symptoms would eventually be the reason for Marc Savard's career. He suffered a second concussion in just 10 months on February 8th, 2011 and never played an NHL game after that. He officially announced his retirement on January 22, 2018, seven years after his last game.
