Scoring in the NHL is higher right now than it has been in the last 30 years (statistically, the highest goals per game since the 1990s).
A big reason for that is the surplus of high-end offensive talent around the league. It seems like every team has at least one player that is capable of scoring at a high rate. However, some teams are lucky enough to have two or more players that can.
Thanks to Eric Friesen of "Heavy Hockey Network," we now know which NHL duos have scored the most combined points since the 2015-16 season.
As per Friesen on Twitter (@EricJFriesen):
The Bruins duo of David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand are the closest to the Oilers duo at 1,044 combined points. Pasta and Marchand make up two-thirds of "The Perfection Line, " which has been one of the league's for a few years.
