World Junior Championship Player Passes away at Age 26
Former World Junior Champion Michele Basso has sadly passed away at the age of 26 after a courageous fight against bone sarcoma, a form of bone cancer.
Michele Basso, renowned for his unwavering commitment to hockey, proudly represented Italy in various championships and was an active player in the Italian league.
Former member of the Italian World Junior Championship team and defenseman in the Italian league, Michele Basso, has regrettably left us at the age of 26 after a prolonged battle with illness.
Basso contributed to italia.hockey's U18 team during the 2014-15 season and their U20 team in 2015-16. He also competed in 11 games for Asiago in the Italian League during the 2015-16 season.
His legacy will continue to serve as an inspiration within the hockey community.
