The Bruins Network (@BruinsNetwork) on Twitter is a credentialed media outlet that provides thoughtful, sincere dialogue on all things Boston Bruins, and they currently have a following of over 12,000.
One of their writers, that goes by the handle @SpokedZ, proposed a possible top-six forward group for the Bruins to start the 2022-23 season:
The Bruins currently have a cap hit of $80,116,667 with just $2,383,333 of cap space, but the salary cap is going up. Trading players like Jake Debrusk and Mike Reilly or Matt Grzelcyk gives the team another $7 million in cap space for next season, but would that be enough to sign Patrice Bergeron, David Krejci and Claude Giroux?
It's doubtful, but I wouldn't be surprised to see all three veterans take cheaper deals to get one last run at a Stanley Cup. Especially Giroux, who has never got the opportunity to hoist it in his 15 years career.
It's for sure just a pipe dream, but that would be one nice top-six forward group to see on the Boston Bruins.
