To NHL players, hockey becomes more of just a sport to them, but a hard-working job they show up for every day.
In their careers, players have to make major life decisions in the span of moments. In the summer of 2006, 29-year-old Zdeno Chara found that out firsthand, as he was one of the biggest UFAs available.
On the first day of Free Agency, Chara chose to sign a five-year contract with the Boston Bruins, but it wasn't an easy decision. Big Zee recently appeared on Spittin' Chiclets and shared how overwhelming the first five minutes it was for him on July 30th, 2006. See below:
