Believe or not, but Zdeno Chara wasn't projected to be the star he ultimately ended up being. It turns out, he actually went through a lot to get to North America and risked it all to play hockey.
The longtime captain of the the Boston Bruins appeared on a recent episode of Spittin' Chiclets to share some of his crazy hockey stories. One that stood out, was how he risked a two-year ban from his home country to play in the WHL after the New York Islanders drafted him.
