Cale Makar broke out in a massive way last season on his way to a Stanley Cup, Conn Smythe and a Norris Trophy at the age of 23.
The Avalanche defenseman was continuing his dominance, until he suffered his first concussion on February 7th against the Penguins.
He was able to return after missing four games, but unfortunately, suffered his second head injury in 11 days against the Blues this past Saturday.
Now, head coach Jared Bednar has confirmed terrible news on Makar. As per Evan Rewal of Colorado Hockey Now:
''Bednar confirms that, once again, Cale Makar is in concussion protocol and he will miss this weekends games. Delayed response to symptoms like last time. They will continue to monitor him.''
Makar is enjoying another successful season with 13 goals and 32 assists in 46 games.
