A completed trade between the Bruins and Devils changes everything and it's huge

On This Day, the Boston Bruins and New Jersey Devils completed a trade, which would be 1-for-1.

Erik Haula was sent to the New Jersey Devils, after one season with the Bruins in 2021-2022. He scored 44 points in 78 games, with the Bruins, and would fill the gap left by the absence of David Krejci.

With the success of the 2021-2022 season for Haula, the Bruins would later acquire Pavel Zacha in trade for the Finnish center.

The Bruins would sign the 25-year RFA at the time to an extension, which would pay off.

Zacha has played 154 games for the Bruins since his acquisition, posting 116 points( 42 G, 74 A), and has been a versatile winger for the organization. He's also been a key piece for the team in times of struggle and during the playoffs.

While Haula has played 156 games with the New Jersey Devils, like Zacha capable of being moved up and down the lineup. Haula has been less of a factor scoring 76 points( 30 G, 46 A) with the team.
