The video of the hit that was thrown to injury Boston Bruins superstar forward David Pastrnak was just released and it's something.

Some terrible news struck the Boston Bruins during their final game before the holiday break, and fans are hopeful that it's nothing serious.

Bruins insider Scott McLaughlin reported during the game yesterday that David Pastrnak looked like something was bugging him or he got injured following a hit he took in the neutral zone last night against the Washington Capitals.

Noticed the same thing Brick did about Pastrnak that last shift. Took a hit in the neutral zone and kind of just stood there and did a quick little stretch like something didn't feel right.

After this hit, David Pastrnak took a couple more shifts and then ended up heading into the Bruins locker room.

Pastrnak took a couple more shifts after this, but just went to the room.

To begin the third period, David Pastrnak was not on the Bruins bench, and not long after the Bruins announced that David Pastrnak would likely not return to the game.

UPDATE: David Pastrnak (upper-body) is unlikely to return to tonight's game.

Now the video of the hit has been released and it doesn't look like much.

Take a look for yourself:

I think that's your reaction but I'm not sure the contact had much to do with it.

There is speculation that David Pastrnak was dealing with a lingering injury already, and this minor hit just made it worse.

The Bruins also could have held Pastrnak out of the rest of the game for precautionary reasons. There has yet to be an update regarding Pastrnak's injury.

Stay tuned for further details on this story.
