Leafs top Prospect Wants To Be Traded
Promising young forward Nick Robertson of the Toronto Maple Leafs is reportedly seeking a new opportunity to showcase his skills and secure more playing time.
According to Sportsnet Insider Elliotte Friedman, the Philadelphia Flyers have previously expressed interest in Robertson. There have been discussions in the past regarding a potential trade involving Scott Laughton going to the Maple Leafs.
Friedman mentioned,
"One guy Philadelphia has had some interest in before has been Nick Robertson... and Nick Robertson might be the kind of guy that could need a fresh start and will probably like one. I don't know how they would feel about him now. Unfortunately, he has battled some injuries and some unfortunate luck the past couple of years, but I do know that's a guy they've liked in the past."
Both Robertson's desire for a fresh start and Philadelphia's previous interest in him suggest that a potential trade could be mutually beneficial for both the player and the Flyers.
