Bruins Biggest Rivals Set To Complete A Massive Trade
As the trade deadline on March 8th looms, the Anaheim Ducks are gearing up to be active participants, considering the potential movement of intriguing assets, such as Adam Henrique.
Possibly, Frank Vatrano. However, the spotlight shifts to the defensive end, with David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period reporting that one Ducks defenseman is drawing interest from three teams, including the Toronto Maple Leafs.
In Pagnotta's Trade Watch list, he highlights the Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Tampa Bay Lightning as potential suitors for Ducks defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin. Describing him as an affordable third-pairing defenseman with a physical edge, Pagnotta suggests that Lyubushkin could be a valuable addition for contenders.
"Lyubushkin is an affordable third-pair defenseman for contenders that want a player with some bite. He is expected to be moved by the deadline," noted Pagnotta.
At 29, Lyubushkin has a history with the Toronto Maple Leafs, having played 31 games for them during the 2021-22 season after a trade from the Arizona Coyotes. In the current season, he has donned the Ducks jersey for 46 games, contributing four assists, accumulating 51 penalty minutes, maintaining a minus-nine rating, and delivering 72 hits.
The coming weeks are likely to see heightened interest in Lyubushkin, and the question arises: which team would be the best fit for him? Share your thoughts in the poll below.
