The Boston Bruins had the greatest regular season in franchise history, breaking the NHL record for most wins in a regular season. However, their success did not translate to the Stanley Cup playoffs, as they lost to the Florida Panthers in game seven, bringing their season to an end.
Now that the season is over, the Bruins need to make some changes, especially with salary cap space being very tight. One trade proposal brought up by the Hockey News suggests the Bruins trade Taylor Hall to the Calgary Flames for Elias Lindholm.
This trade could work out nicely for both teams. Lindholm is a very good player who is cheaper than Hall, having put up 22 goals and 42 assists in 80 games this season. In contrast, Hall had 14 goals and 20 assists in 61 games this year and has two years remaining on his current contract that pays him $6 million annually.
