Bruins Aiming to Sign Highly-Touted College Free Agent
GM Don Sweeney will have some major decisions to make this summer, but according to recent reports, one of them is signing a sought-after college free agent.
One of Several Teams in the Running
As Evan Renaerts of Fox Sports first reported, Boston is heavily interested in undrafted forward Jason Polin of the NCAA. However, he also noted that the Bruins aren't the only team with a foot in the door.
''The #Bruins are hoping they can sign a NCAA free agent who is is set to play in the NCAA Division 1 tournament. Western Michigan University senior forward Jason Polin is drawing interest from many NHL teams after a great season where the 23-year led NCAA Division 1 with 29 goals in 38 games.''
Polin was recently announced as one of the top-10 finalists for the 2023 Hobey Baker Award.
