A messy statement was just made from Jeremy Swayman's agent
Things are getting messy between the Boston Bruins and Jeremy Swayman after his agent released a statement today.
The Boston Bruins held a press conference today where all of management was present, speaking to the media, and they revealed some details about Jeremy Swayman that we have not heard before today.
Cam Neely the President of the Boston Bruins revealed that the Boston Bruins offered a $64 million contract contract to Jeremy Swaymann.
Neely made a cheeky comment towards Jeremy Swayman, stating he would have $64 million reasons why he would be playing right now.
Cam Neely on Jeremy Swayman:
«I have $64 million reasons why I'd be playing right now.»
According to Jeremy Swayman's agent Lewis Gross, this is the first time that number has been presented to him or Jeremy swayman. Gross took to Instagram to release a statement on the matter, and this changes things, take a look:
Normally, I do not release statements or discuss negotiations through the media.
However, in this case, I feel I need to defend my client. At today's press conference, $64 million was referenced.
This was the first time that number was discussed in our negotiations. Prior to the press conference, no offer was made reaching that level.
We are extremely disappointed. This was not fair to Jeremy. We will take a few days to discuss where we go from here.
If this is the first time that Jeremy Swayman and his agent have heard of this number, the Boston Bruins are not handling this right.
But Jeremy Swayman's agent Lewis Gross did state that he and Swayman will take a few days to discuss where to go from here, which could be a good thing for the Boston Bruins, meaning we might see him sign sooner rather then later.
