The Boston Bruins lost to the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-0 last night, giving up 3 power-play points. The team wasn't able to stop the blue wave in Toronto, and when you lose to your rivals like this, it's not a good look.

The loss would end up being the Bruins' 7th loss this season, giving the team a 6-7-1 record.

The team is 4th in the Atlantic Division, and nothing seems to work when it comes to fixing the Bruins' troubles. NHL Insiders Katie Gaus, Ryan Kennedy, and Michael Traikos feel that there's speculation trending that Montgomery could be gone soon.

Is he out as coach by Thanksgiving?

Michael Traikos points out that benching David Pastrnak wasn't the smartest idea and could shorten his shelf-life a bit.

Felger of the show Felger and Mazz put it simply:

Felger: Once again it's another button that Montgomery pushed that went in the wrong direction. It's happened all season long. He pushes Brad Marchand in the third period in Utah, they give up a game tying goal and lose in overtime. He shuffles his lineup, just like puts them into a blender, they go to Carolina and they lose 8-2. He benches David Pastrnak in the third period of the last game, they get smoked in the third period and then head in to their next game and get shutout over three periods and are once again a dead-ass team and David Pastrnak is taking offensive zone penalties and they're giving up power play goals all game long. And it's like, whatever button Montgomery pushes goes in the other direction. And now here we are, back to where we started from, which is how does he still have a job? I heard Beetle talking about this earlier, I think he's right, this is a perfect day for the Bruins to fire a coach.

Could the former Presidents Trophy winner end up having to find a new job soon? It seems like he's lost the room.

The Bruins are 6-7-1, 4th in the Atlantic Division, with 13 points and a -12 differential in the standings.

The time to turn it around was yesterday, but it is also now too.
