The NHL offseason has been ongoing for several weeks with players showing their personal lives on Instagram and other social media sites. Bruins captain Brad Marchand posted a picture of his daughter Sawyer and himself which has gone viral.
NHL players have been well known to be private individuals and not nearly involved in social media up until the last few years. As younger players like Connor McDavid, Connor Bedard, Austin Matthews and other players continue to show their lives on social media, older players like Marchand have adapted themselves to join other teammates.
This is a great way for fans to connect to their favorite players and their teams as many teams have now posted videos about celebrations after key wins, watching coaches give speeches and even specials on Amazon and Netflix to give fans a better insight to these players.
Marchand we'll enter his second season as captain of the Bruins and hope that the team will have even better results than this past year.
The team we'll have a different look and there are questions on how general manager Don Sweeney will make this team better especially in the goals for department.
In the meantime, players will enjoy their time off and away from the rink and we'll continue to show the other side of their lives for all fans to see.
