A Troubling Report Has Surfaced Involving Boston Bruins Matt Poitras

In the final days before the Four Nations Faceoff tournament began, there was some speculation that the Boston Bruins were going to make a roster transaction with fan favourite Matt Poitras.

Curious whether Boston can/would send Matt Poitras to Providence so he can continue to play during the 4 Nations break

With the NHL going on a break, many believed that Matt Poitras would benefit from being sent back down to the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League to see some game action while the Four Nations Faceoff tournament was ongoing.

GM Don Sweeney confirmed the speculation following their final game before the break against the Vegas Golden Knights, and officially sent Matt Poitras and Michael Callahan back to the Providence Bruins.

Troubling report surfaces surround Matt Poitras and Michael Callahan

The Boston Bruins sent both Matt Poitras and Michael Callahan down on Feburary 9th, and today the Providence Bruins are set to play in their first game since the 8th.

It was reported today that Poitras, and Callahan will both not play today.

The reason for them not playing is unclear and they are expected to get in at some point.

It was also revealed that Fabian Lysell is set to miss the game today as well as he is out with some type of ailment.
