Boston Bruins were just hit with some more terrible news as Brad Marchand was forced to leave the game after taking a dirty hit from behind along the boards.

Early on into the game, Brad Marchand was going for a lose puck along the boards, when Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman P.O. Joseph went for a hit on Marchand.
Marchand looked to lose his footing just before Joseph went for the hit, and unfortunately it did not end good for Brad Marchand.
The captain laid down on the ice for awhile barley moving while having a conversation with the trainer.
When he finally got up he needed some guidance from David Pastrnak and the trainer to help him get to the bench.
Marchand down for a long time. Joseph got his stick in Marchand's skates for a can-opener, and then finished the hit into the boards with Marchand going down in an awkward position.
Here is the hit:

While Marchand was heading down the tunnel, he looked to be in a lot of discomfort.
Not long after losing Brad Marchand, the Boston Bruins were on a power play, and Mason Lohrei made no mistake picking the top corner.
Mase makes it count 🎯
The Bruins are already out Trent Frederic, Charlie McAvoy, and Hampus Lindholm, losing Brad Marchand would be terrible for the team who are still trying to fight for a playoff spot, and currently up 2-0 on the Pittsburgh Penguins.
