It's no secret that the Boston Bruins don't have many draft picks, as they have been trying to win a Stanley Cup for awhile now, meaning they have been making a lot of trades that involve draft picks. This year the Boston Bruins only have draft picks in the fourth, fifth, and sixth round of the draft.
There has been a major opportunity that has surfaced for the Boston Bruins and Don Sweeney that could initiate a rebuild for the Bruins.
Recent reports came out the other day that the New Jersey Devils are willing to trade their 10th overall pick in the first-round of the draft this year for a goaltender. With that being said moving Linus Ullmark for the pick seems to be a no brainer move the Bruins should do.
Linus Ullmark is one of the most sought after goaltenders on the trade market, and if the Bruins could get the 10th overall pick for him it should be a no brainer for Don Sweeney considering Jeremy Swayman will be taking over the starting position in the crease for the Bruins moving forward.
The Bruins currently have one of the worst ranked prospect pools in the league and securing the 10th overall pick in the first-round this year would definitely improve their prospect pool by a good margin.
