Boston Bruins fans are now calling for the Bruins to trade Jeremy Swayman
The Boston Bruins and Jeremy Swayman seem to have hit an impasse, as training camp rolls near.
Fans were hopeful that the Bruins would have Swayman signed last week, but they have since failed to deliver.
No meaningful progress has been made, as there have been reports of the team and Swayman not being able to meet on term or money.
This could be a major problem, as Joonas Korapisalo, whom the team brought in as a backup could be the team's #1 goalie if Swayman isn't signed before the 18th.
Now, fans have had it as they're decrying Swayman and asking for Don Sweeney to trade him.
There have been conflicting reports, as the team and Swayman in media have said the deal will get done over the last few weeks. While NHL Insiders like Ryan Whitney mentioned that the Bruins had given Swayman an insulting offer for his next contract.
Now, fans are voicing their outrage on the internet, calling their once favorite goalie a diva for attempting to get the best possible deal for the effort he's put on the ice.
There's just no pleasing some people.
According to Elliotte Friedman of 32, TPSwayman turned down an eight-year, $6 M AAV deal and no one has been close at any point in the negotiations.
This could turn into a long season for Swayman, Bruins, and the fans should there be no resolution soon.
