Boston Bruins head coach Joe Sacco makes an unexpected roster change ahead of their game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Despite not recalling anyone from the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League following the Bruins most recent embarrassing loss to the Edmonton Oilers, head coach Joe Sacco has made an interesting lineup change gearing up to face the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Just last game, the Boston Bruins demoted Nikita Zadorov down to the Bruins second defensive pairing and promoted Parker Wotherspoon to the top pairing with Charlie McAvoy.

Now it seems like Sacco is reverting this change as going by the Burins morning skate lines today it appears that Nikita Zadorov will be back on the top pairing with Charlie McAvoy, and Wotherspoon is going back with Brandon Carlo.

AM lines:

Geekie-Zacha-Pastrnak
Marchand-Lindholm-Coyle
Wahlstrom-Frederic-Brazeau
Koepke-Beecher-Kastelic
McLaughlin

Zadorov-McAvoy
Wotherspoon-Carlo
Lohrei-Peeke
Oesterle

Swayman
Korpisalo

The Bruins also made another surprising change today as they have officially demoted Charlie McAvoy off of the top power play unit, and instead Mason Lohrei will be the quarterback.

PP1: Lohrei, Pastrnak, Geekie, Zacha, Brazeau
PP2: McAvoy, Wahlstrom, Marchand, Lindholm, Coyle

The Boston Bruins are hopeful that these changes tonight will be able to help them snap their five game losing streak they are currently on.

If the Bruins end up losing to the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight, they will officially move out of third place in the Atlantic Division.
