The Boston Bruins and Don Sweeney need help, on the ice mainly, the team is 8-8-3 and Jim Montgomery isn't looking good compared to his last two seasons with the club.

The Bruins are goal-starved, and offensively anemic, while being 4th in the Atlantic Division, they have a whopping -17 goal differential.

Not something you'd ever expect to hear if you were transported from 2018 to now. The team is lacking a solid defense and offense and Don Sweeney is expected to take action to correct it.

The Bruins are Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras remain connected through trade rumors.

But will there be significant movement to try and acquire the forward from the Ducks? He may be an expensive addition if Don Sweeney attempts to trade for him.

Zegras is young and would be in a pretty good spot stepping into the second line of Boston. It is evident the skill is there after back-to-back 23-goal, 60+ point seasons as a rookie and a sophomore. The Bruins are a team that is competing rather than rebuilding, so it might be the best case scenario for the Bruins, Ducks, and Zegras.

Zegras could use a fresh start, as the team has found new forwards to develop with Leo Carlsson, Cutter Gauthier, and Beckett Sennecke when he arrives.

Utah Hockey Club

The Bruins need help in any way shape or form they can find, and while it doesn't seem likely they'll be able to pluck Logan Cooley or Barrett Hayton, the Bruins could find in the depth of the team's roster.

Here's an idea of who the team could move, including Nick Bjugstad who could be a solid addition down the middle, as his last season in Arizona was great:

Forwards like Alexander Kerfoot and Nick Bjugstad and goalie Karel Vejmelka could all be on the move if Utah sells. While those are all strong players, the early-round picks they could receive for those players will be more valuable. It is easy to forget that this is still the Coyotes, who felt years away from contention just last season.

Bjugstad has only played 9 games this season, scoring 4 points( 2 G, 2 A) and in 76 games last season saw him post 45 points( 22 G, 23 A) with a +11.

Just don't sell the whole farm, ifUtah HC is selling.

This might all change depending on where Utah is sitting in March, but they're ready to wheel and deal for sure.

"We'll have to make some trades down the stretch,» Armstrong said. «That's why we acquired all the prospects and picks."
