Frank Seravalli has revealed what Steven Stamkos' next contract will look like. He reported that Stamkos' might look for $19 million on his next contract which would be $6.13 million for three seasons, which isn't terrible considering the caliber of player Stamkos is.
If Stamkos does end up hitting free agency, the Bruins should be all in for him, who could be a game changer and what the Bruins need to make another run for a Stanley Cup.
Bruins management said that they want to look for secondary scoring this year in free agency, someone who can compliment the Bruins players they already have and Stamkos would be the perfect fit.
At age 34, Stamkos is still producing at an insane level scoring 40 goals and having 81 points in 79 games, he doesn't look to be slowing down.
He would also bring some very good experience to the Bruins lineup as he has already won multiple Stanley Cups.
This would be the perfect guy for Don Sweeney to target in the off-season if he doesn't re-sign with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
