Bruins management has begun sifting through its regular season and playoff run and may find that Patrick maroon could be at the end of his career.

It's been a long road for the 36-year-old forward who has been involved with several teams and help them win the Stanley Cup. At the height of his cup runs he had won three rings one with the Blues and two with the Lightning.

Maroon began his career in 2007 when he was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers, in the sixth round 161st overall. He has stopped in seven NHL organizations which included the Anaheim Ducks, Edmonton Oilers, New Jersey Devils, St Louis Blues, Tampa Bay Lightning, Minnesota Wild and the Boston Bruins.

The Bruins felt that Maroon was a great spark for the dressing room and on the ice as he has many years of experience especially in the playoffs and defended his teammates. Unfortunately, that offensive success did not transpire as through 13 games of play he had only two assists and was a - 2.

His numbers have certainly declined overtime as he spent the first part of the season with the Minnesota Wild and played 49 games. He had scored four goals with 12 assists for 16 points it was a - 11 with 60 penalty minutes.

He had sustained a major injury which kept him out of the lineup an only allowed him two games left in the regular season to play with the Bruins after being traded.

It remains to be seen on whether the Bruins will re sign him to another deal or decide to go a different direction as the team is looking to get faster and younger as the aging core begins to be dismantled. He is just completing a 2-year deal that was worth $1 million in cap space per season.
