Elliotte Friedman has dropped a bomb regarding a major trade in Boston that might take place involving Linus Ullmark.

At the NHL trade deadline it was heavily rumoured that 2023 Vezina Trophy winner Linus Ullmark was on the trade block, and that he also blocked a trade to go to the Los Angeles Kings.
Ullmark blocked the trade using his no-trade clause, but that isn't the only trade he blocked, according to Elliotte Friedman, he mentioned on his 32 thoughts podcast that the Carolina Hurricanes were also in on Ullmark at the deadline.
Friedman thinks that with Jeremy Swayman taking over and the Bruins prioritizing getting him signed that the Bruins and Hurricanes could resume trade talks in the summer.
Linus Ullmark could be what the Hurricanes need to give them a really good chance at going for a Stanley Cup. They don't have terrible goaltending, but as showed this year in the playoffs, they don't have the best either.
Elliotte Friedman on 32 Thoughts today:

«I do believe the Bruins and the Hurricanes talked about an Ullmark deal [at the deadline]. I don't know if it involved Necas. But I do think they talked about something.» #NHLBruins

It is rumoured that the return for the Bruins could be young star Martin Necas, who is reportedly set to leave the Hurricanes as they want to focus on signing Jake Guentzel.
