The Boston Bruins could be a team showing interest in trading for Seattle Kraken's pending UFA Brandon Tanev.

This is the final year of his six-year deal, with a $3.5 million cap hit. For a fourth liner that is quite a bit of money, and especially after a rough year during the 2023-24 season, but he has shown some good flashes of secondary scoring in a bottom six role, something the Boston Bruins could use.

There are reports that the Kraken may be looking to trade Brandon Tanev as reported by Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, he stated in his 32 Thoughts column, that there is a lot of interest in him, and he will be one to watch this year.

Tanev will perfectly fit the Boston Bruins as a speedy, physical winger that can provide secondary scoring, as a solid depth player. Tanev has hit the 200-hit mark twice in his career and multiple other times he has come close to this mark.

Tanev every year goes viral, and has been known for his hilarious headshots.

According to NHL Trade Rumors, Brandon Tanev finished with just seven goals and 16 points in 66 games for the Seattle Kraken, while playing 14:35 of ice time a game. Even with playing a depth role with the Seattle Kraken he still finished with a +2 +/- rating last year.

Tanev could definitely be a good fit for the Boston Bruins, and acquiring Brandon Tanev shouldn't be too expensive either.

Brandon Tanev has 159 points with a +54 rating in 10 seasons in the NHL, and in 475 games.
