The Four Nations Face-Off has made strange bedfellows for Brad Marchand, a Boston Bruins. Now, on the same line as rival Sam Bennett, a Florida Panther he was asked about the prospect of putting a rivalry aside for something bigger.

The prospect of suiting up for one own country is something that every hockey player strives for.

Marchand has served before, in the WCOH in 2016 with Team Canada. Now this season his teammates look a bit different in 2025, as Sam Bennett joined Team Canada.

The two have history, when Sam Bennett sucker punched him during the 2024 playoffs, it left tempers flaring. And the backdrop of a rivalry between the two teams, obviously means there's no love lost.

Bennett memorably injured Marchand during the playoffs last year with the sucker punch to the face. This sidelined No. 63 for Games 4 and 5 of the series before he came back for Game 6.

The Panthers would win the series, and go on to win the Stanley Cup in 2024.

Now, the two have to find a way to make it work after. Marchand, who is a team-first player has decided to put the past behind him and work towards a common goal with Bennett.

With Bennett on the same line, that should offer up some real bite in the tournament.

Both Marchand and Bennett have experience as agitators, who have a goal-scoring touch. So they should ironically end up being a dynamic duo for Team Canada, a duo that helps push back against the Tkachuk brothers and Team USA.
