Today marks the beginning of the regular season for the Boston Bruins, and they are taking on the Stanley Cup Champions, who were also the team to knock the Boston Bruins out in 6 games during the second-round of the playoffs last year, the Florida Panthers.
The last two seasons the Boston Bruins have fell victim to the Florida Panthers in the playoffs, but last years was a little different. It was a much more physical postseason matchup between the two teams, and a big notable moment from the series was when Brad Marchand was knocked out for two games after a dirty blindside hit from Panthers forward Sam Bennett.
Marchand sent a stern message to Sam Bennett, stating he doesn't hold any resentment toward Bennett for the hit, and he also stated there isn't any hate heading into this game towards Sam Bennett.
The Boston Bruins will be looking to make a statement against the Stanley Cup Champions tonight, hopefully the Boston Bruins bring their A game tonight.
