Ex-Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark is set to make his return to TD Garden on Saturday, and fans are hopeful to see a fan favourite theme happen one more time.
Jeremy Swayman is set to guard the crease for the Bruins against ex-teammate Linus Ullmark when they face the Senators tomorrow at TD Garden.
Last year after every win the Boston Bruins got, fans would stick around to witness the "goalie hug" tradition that Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman had.
This was something that was special to both Ullmark, and Swayman, and both stated that they were not going to do it anymore as they felt it was not the same.
Jeremy Swayman just spoke on the possibility of fans being able to witness the goalie hug tradition one last time.
Here is what he had to say:
Being able to witness one last goalie hug, regardless of what the final score is in the game tomorrow, would be meaningful not only to Swayman and Ullmark, but also to fans who greatly cherished this tradition.
Personally I think regardless of what the final score finishes tomorrow, Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark should give fans one last goalie hug.
Only time will tell if we do get to see this one last goalie hug or not, puck drop is set for 7 p.m. Easter time Saturday.
