Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery just broke the silence on Tyler Johnson leaving the team over a family matter and it's sad.

Before the Boston Bruins most recent game against the Dallas Stars, the team announced that they were calling up Patrick Brown, and many weren't sure why.

Before the game it was announced that Brown was going to be replacing Tyler Johnson, and not long after the reasoning behind it was revealed.

Brown will plug in on the 4th line with Kastelic moving up with Coyle and Frederic on the 3rd line

A Bruins insider revealed that the reasoning behind Brown replacing Tyler Johnson was due to him leaving the team because of a family matter.

Montgomery just told the media in Dallas that Tyler Johnson had to go back home to deal with a family issue so it was not coach's decision he did not play

Now head coach Jim Montgomery before the Bruins game against the St. Louis Blues finally broke the silence on Tyler Johnson.

Here is what the head coach had to say:

«Tyler Johnson had to leave Dallas for family reasons, and we're going to leave it at that,» Bruins head coach Jim Mongomery said prior to puck drop on Saturday. «He will be back at practice tomorrow.»

This is just sad, clearly it isn't anything good if Montgomery will not reveal the official reasoning behind why Johnson took this leave.

The good side of this is that Johnson is expected to return to the team tomorrow and will be back at practice.

Hopefully for Tyler Johnson and his family it isn't anything too serious, but our thoughts are with him and his family during this time of whatever is going on.
