Bruins Joe Sacco Makes Major Roster Change That Paid Off For The Bruins

Boston Bruins head coach Joe Sacco made a massive roster change during their game vs the Calgary Flames that paid off for the Boston Bruins.

Heading into Tuesday night, the Bruins were riding some momentum from their win against the Vancouver Canucks, and were looking to build off of that in their game against the Calgary Flames.

Things were not going well for the Boston Bruins as in the second period they quickly went down 2-0 to the Flames. Just 54 seconds into the second period the Flames would score to break the tieless game, and then they would score again 1:21 seconds in to take a 2-0 lead over the Bruins.

Heading into the third period the Bruins were trailing 3-1 when Sacco decided to make some changes to his lineup.

The Bruins originally entering the game were running the same lines as they did against the Vancouver Canucks.

The Boston Bruins would rally from being down 3-1 in the third to come back and win in overtime off of a goal by David Pastrnak.

After making the changes he did, the Bruins would outshoot the Flames 8-1 in 8:07 of ice time with Marchand-Lindholm-Coyle on the ice.

The Bruins outshot the Flames 8-1 in 8:07 with that Marchand-Lindholm-Coyle line on the ice. Another in-game switch from Sacco pays off.
