The Boston Bruins made some big changes to their power play, but they need to make more.

Ahead of their rematch in the home-and-home against the Columbus Blue Jackets yesterday the Bruins made a surprising move when they decided to recall Fabian Lysell and finally give him a chance at the NHL level.

Fabian Lysell makes his NHL debut tonight on a line with Frederic and Brazeau.

Moments before the game, Bruins head coach Joe Sacco met with the media and was asked about where Lysell was going to slot into the lineup and if he was going to see some power play time.

Joe Sacco revealed that he may see power play time as the Bruins power play has been terrible this year and he could give them a different look.

Lysell did end up seeing some power play time as he was put on the Bruins top power play unit, but some change still needs to happen.

The Bruins mixed things up, and these were the new power play units they were running against the Columbus Blue Jackets:

New PP units:

Brazeau
Pastrnak-Zacha-Geekie
Lohrei

Marchand
Coyle-Lysell-Lindholm
McAvoy

The Boston Bruins ended up going 0-2 on the power play against the 27th ranked penalty kill, which should just not be the case.

With the type of players the Boston Bruins have on their power plays, there is no reason they should be ranked 31st in the league only ahead of the New York Islanders who currently have a 12% power play.

The Boston Bruins have a 13.2% power play on the season, and it's clear that change needs to be made. Going into the playoffs if the Bruins don't figure this out, it could make or break their run.

Do you think the Bruins need to trade for someone to help out their power play?
