Ever since the Boston Bruins signed Jeremy Swayman to his massive 8-year, $8.25 million there has been a lot of conflicting reports about his play this season.
Under Jim Montgomery, Jeremy Swayman was absolutely horrible and the team did not seem to have much juice in the tank at the beginning of this year, but ever since Joe Sacco took over for the Bruins, that changed.
Jeremy Swayman has quickly turned his season around under Joe Sacco, and in his previous five games he has a 4-0-1 record with a 1.57 goals against average and a .918 save percentage.
To make things even better for Jeremy Swayman in his last nine games he has a record of 7-1-1.
This is the Jeremy Swayman the Boston Bruins thought they were going to get after they signed him to a massive deal just two days before the regular season began this year.
If the Bruins do want to be competitive this year they are going to rely on Jeremy Swayman heavily, and if he keeps playing the way he has recently the Bruins actually have a good chance at making it far this year.
But they would need to make some big moves towards the trade deadline and bring in at least one true goal scorer as the Bruins have struggled to put the puck in the back of the net this year.
