The Boston Bruins sit 3rd in the Atlantic Division, with a 19-14-4 record, and have found new life with Coach Joe Sacco. But they can improve, and one way to do so is to bring speed and skill from the AHL in Matthew Poitras.

Boston Bruins on CLNS Hot's Ty Anderson and Conor Ryan have an idea to help improve the Bruins' offense.

They could call up Bruins prospect, Matthew Poitras who has the speed and skill that could be utilized to improve the lineup, and play of newly acquired winger, Oliver Wahlstrom.

Poitras, spent a short period of time in the NHL this season, scoring 4 points( 1 G,3 A) in 14 games at the start of the season. He'd be held scoreless for four games before being returned to Providence.

Since his return, he scored went on a seven-game goal-scoring streak, from December 6 to 18th.

Over his last 10 games, the 2022 second-round pick has 13 points. This included a seven-game goal streak from Dec. 6 to Dec. 18.

Poitras could prove to be a solid center, for Oliver Wahlstrom and make players for the Massachusetts native while giving the Bruins the flexibility to shift Trent Frederic to the wing.

He's continued to be a solid player in the Providence lineup in the AHL, as he's scored 16 points( 7 G, 9 A) in 18 games with the P-Bruins.

Not only is it a sign he's gaining confidence, but could be a huge factor in a Bruins lineup that isn't that deep.

Should the Boston Bruins call up Matthew Poitras?
