Colorado Avalanche lost a forward as they have placed Miles Wood on IR and he is going to miss at least a week for the team, and they have replaced him with former Boston Bruins forward Chris Wagner according to dailyfacoff.
Miles Wood has had some injury problems this season, as this is the second time he has been placed on IR this year. From late October to mid November he would go on to miss seven games, and has only appeared in 16 games for the Avalanche this season.
Chris Wagner was apart of the Bruins organization for five years from 2018-19 to the 2022-23 season.
During his five year stint with the Bruins organization, Chris Wagner would appear in 186 NHL games, but in the final two years he would only appear in one game each year. In those 186 games, Wagner would put up 34 points, but he has never been known to be an offensive threat.
During Wagner's career he has a total of 385 NHL games across his 11 years of being in the league, and only has 39 career goals, 27 career assists, for 66 career points. So more than half of his points came from when he was with the Boston Bruins organization.
Chris Wagner has played for multiple different NHL teams during his career including the Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche, New York Islanders, and Anaheim Ducks. He has had multiple stints with the Colorado Avalanche, and the Anaheim Ducks.
After re-signing with the Colorado Avalanche during the off-season this year, Wagner has been bounced around between the American Hockey League and the NHL, playing 5 games for their affiliate the Colorado Eagles, and appearing in 12 NHL games where he has just one goal this year.
