Colorado Avalanche make three game changing roster moves ahead of game against the Bruins

The Colorado Avalanche are gearing up to take on the Boston Bruins for the first time this season, and they have made some surprising roster moves as they prepare for the game.

The Boston Bruins should be hungry tonight, following their most recent loss to the Florida Panthers, head coach Jim Montgomery called out the Boston Bruins top-six players.

Today the Boston Bruins also announced some roster changes of their own, with Morgan Geekie and Justin Brazeau coming out of the lineup in place of Riley Tufte, and Max Jones.

The Colorado Avalanche have made some surprising roster moves by calling up three players from the American Hockey League.

They have reportedly called up Ivan Ivan, Nikolai Kovalenko, and Matthew Stienburg from the Colorado Eagles.

We have recalled Ivan Ivan, Nikolai Kovalenko and Matthew Stienburg from the Colorado Eagles.

None of these players have yet to play a game in the NHL, and it's not clear if they will get their first chance to tonight or not, but they have been recalled not long before puck drop is set to take place.
