Jim Montgomery finally spoke on the changes he made, and he made a questionable one taking out a top-six player for fourth line players.

Following their loss to the Florida Panthers, head coach Jim Montgomery called out the top-six, and stated that they aren't doing their job.

Today as they gear up to take on the Colorado Avalanche, Jim Montgomery decided to finally make some roster changes, and in doing so he made a questionable change.

Jim Montgomery decided to remove Morgan Geekie from the lineup making him a healthy scratch for tonight's game against the Colorado Avalanche.

Just Brazeau is also going to be a healthy scratch for tonight's game, and Riley Tufte, and Max Jones will be slotting into the roster to play along side Matthew Poitras.

Jim Montgomery on lineup changes for tonight's #NHLBruins game vs. the Avalanche: «Riley Tufte and Max Jones are in playing on the third line with Matt Poitras taking out Morgan Geekie and Justin Brazeau....in net I'm not going to say right now.»

The Boston Bruins will be giving a new third line a look, and Brad Marchand, and Charlie Coyle will be getting a new line mate as well, but it's just unsure right now who it will be.

The Bruins have had a tough start to the season, playing the Florida Panthers twice in six days, and are now gearing up to take on another tough opponent in the Colorado Avalanche.

Do you think making Morgan Geekie a healthy scratch was a good move from Jim Montgomery?
