A costly mistake from Charlie Coyle nearly lead to the Boston Bruins once again blowing a lead and losing a game.

The Boston Bruins took a 3-1 lead into the third period against the Calgary Flames, but Brad Marchand ended up taking a penalty just nine seconds into the third period leading to a power play goal cutting the Bruins lead down to one goal.

Brad Marchand takes a penalty 9 seconds into the third period and it immediately turns into a Calgary PP goal. Flames close it to 3-2. The combo of taking penalties and a leaky penalty kill is really a major problem for the Bruins

With just over 10 minutes left to play in the third period, Charlie Coyle made a costly mistake that almost lead to another blown loss for the Boston Bruins, as he was coming up the ice on a 3-on-2 and wiped out turning the puck over to the Flames defence.

The Flames would send the puck up the ice, and Nazem Kadri would bury one past Joonas Korpisalo to tie the game 3 a piece forcing the game to go to overtime.

3-3. Coyle loses an edge. 2 on 1 and a goal. Again, need a save.

Thankfully Joonas Korpisalo played amazing for the Boston Bruins in overtime, making multiple big saves, and Charlie Coyle would be bailed out by no one other then the Bruins captain Brad Marchand who won it for them off a beautiful effort from Elias Lindholm.

Doesn't happen without Lindholm winning that battle behind the net. Great shift in the final seconds from Marchand and Lindholm to get the 4-3 dub

Brad Marchand and Elias Lindholm played a couple of shifts together for the Bruins during the overtime period, and personally they looked really good together, and generated a lot of good chances, if Montgomery is going to change anything, I feel like leaving them together for 3-on-3 is a solid option.

In the end the Bruins came out victorious and are now back into the win column, hopefully they can build off of this.
