According to recent reports from The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta, the Boston Bruins have expressed interest in bringing back Danton Heinen who is one of their nine pending unrestricted free agents.
David Pagnotta stated that the Boston Bruins and Danton Heinen's camp led by Allain Roy plan to initiate contract talks this week.
After signing a PTO with the Boston Bruins and not getting a contract till a couple weeks after the regular season started, Heinen fit in well with the Bruins and provided secondary scoring for the team.
He had 17 goals and 19 assists for the Bruins in 74 games, which would be the second-highest points total of his career.
David Pagnotta reported that his next contract will be somewhere in the three-year range with a mid-term deal.
Re-signing Danton Heinen would benefit the Boston Bruins and their depth.
