Brad Marchand, known for his abrasive playing style, has faced harsh penalties from the league in the past. After a controversial hit on Michael McLeod, many anticipated that the league would make an example of Marchand as the playoffs approached.
However, the Department of Player Safety has chosen not to penalize Marchand for the hit.
This decision comes as a significant boost for the Bruins, who are on track to break an all-time NHL record for wins in a season. Having Marchand on the bench rather than in the press box will undoubtedly be beneficial.
