Elliotte Friedman Reveals This Boston Bruins $4.6 Million Forward Is Set To Be Involved In A Major Trade

This season has been a big struggle for the Boston Bruins, as they have not been able to find their game offensively, and according to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman a trade could be coming soon for the Bruins.

Elliotte Friedman has reported multiple times now this season that Boston Bruins forward Trent Frederic has been receiving major interest from teams around the league, and now it seems like the Bruins may be taking calls on him, but the Bruins have a big decision to make.

Since Trent Frederic is expected to be a unrestricted free agent, interest from teams around the league has increased. This is the final season of a two-year, $4.6 million contract Frederic signed with the Bruins in the 2022 off-season, and July 1st he is set to become a free agent.

According to Friedman, the teams that are making phone calls to the Bruins regarding Frederic are interested to know if the Bruins intend to sign Frederic.

Last season, Trent Frederic had a career year with the Bruins, and it seemed like he was only going to get better for the Bruins but this hasn't been the case. This year Frederic has taken a major step back, and a change of scenery may be the best move for the gritty forward.

In 39 games this season Frederic has 5 goals, 6 assists for 11 points on the year, but he is currently riding a 10 game pointless streak.

Last season when Frederic had his career year, he scored 18 goals, and had 22 assists for 40 points.

It's still unclear whether or not the Bruins are going to trade Frederic, but a recent report revealed that the Bruins and Frederic are nowhere near a contract extension, and if they aren't close to one come the trade deadline, Frederic will probably be dressing up for a different organization.
