Report: Boston Bruins Set To Officially Break Up Their Core According To Insider

Boston Bruins insider Jimmy Murphy has called out the Boston Bruins just before the New Year, and we could see some changes coming to the Bruins core of players.

Following some tough losses just before the New Year, insider Jimmy Murphy doesn't believe that the coach's have been the problem for the Bruins struggles and believes that the core should be held accountable.

The Boston Bruins have had the same core of players for a long time now, and have gone through some coach's that probably shouldn't have been fired including Jim Montgomery and Bruce Cassidy.

At some point, the coach's can no longer be to blame, and Don Sweeney needs to realize that this core has not proven anything for the Bruins and it may be time to break it up like Jimmy Murphy stated.

Since winning the Stanley Cup in 2011, the Boston Bruins have made the Stanley Cup Finals once in 2019 when they would end up losing to the St. Louis Blues. Other then that the Bruins have not had much success in the playoffs.

There is a good chance that if the Bruins don't make a deep playoff push this year, that some of the core players may be on their way out of Boston.
