Former Boston Bruins fan favourite Taylor Hall's career just hit a big low after an announcement from the Chicago Blackhawks.

As the Chicago Blackhawks are gearing up to take on the Vancouver Canucks, Taylor Hall's career just hit a low for the first time.

There has been a lot of hype surrounding this game due to the fact this will be the first time Connor Bedard plays in Vancouver which is his home town, and will be bringing quite a bit of his family to the game.

Just hours before the game the Chicago Blackhawks made an announcement about the former NHL MVP and ex-Bruins fan favourite that has shocked many.

The Blackhawks announced that Taylor Hall will be a healthy scratch for the team tonight.

Take a look:

Former NHL MVP Taylor Hall has been designated a healthy scratch for tonight's game vs Vancouver 😬

Taylor Hall has been fully healthy this year after missing a good chunk of last year with a injury, and in 17 games with the Chicago Blackhawks he only has 2 goals, along with 4 assists for 6 points while averaging 15:10 of ice time with the Hawks.

The Chicago Blackhawks have not been a good team this year, which is expected due to them being in a rebuild but they have one of the worst goal differentials in the league with a -10.

Taylor Hall in 17 games has a +/- of -5 this year.

Ever since his MVP season with the New Jersey Devils in 2017-18 when he had 39 goals 54 assist for 93 points, Hall has been on the decline, and two years ago when he played with the Bruins he had one of his worst seasons with 36 points in 61 games.

The former Bruins fan favourite is having a hard time right now, and you just hate to see it. Hopefully he can get his game back.
