There is reportedly an extension and trade in place for Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark.

This trade is just a matter of time before it actually goes through, but multiple insiders have already reported that Ullmark has agreed to waived his no-trade clause if he were to be involved in a trade that would send him to Ottawa.

David cites two sources in reporting that Ullmark would accept a trade to the Senators even if they're on his no-trade list.

The reason for a trade not taking place yet is because the Ottawa Senators want to make sure Ullmark is signed to an extension before confirming everything.

Going by this we could see the Boston Bruins either complete a sign-and-trade with Ullmark, or as soon as Ullmark is traded, we could see him sign an extension with the Senators.

The return is reported to be defenseman Jakob Chychrun and their 25th overall pick in the first-round along with another pick in the draft.

Reportedly the Senators are looking at signing Ullmark to a 5-year $35 million deal which turns out to be $7 million per year.

Word is that Linus Ullmark would be looking for a 5 year, $35 million extension with Ottawa. Talks are ongoing.

The Senators need goaltending badly, last year a lot of teams thought they were going to be in the playoff race, but ultimately their goaltending let them down and they were a bottom of the pack team.

Linus Ullmark could help them become a much more solid team if/when this trade does end up happening.
